There are three types of Conexiones Latinas memberships: Community Contacts, Members, and Executive Board Officers. All memberships are open to the public. Community Contacts are free without application and Members and Executive Board Officers are paid memberships. If you are unable to volunteer your time, you can also donate financially and support our organization. As a non-profit, all donations are tax deductible and more importantly all proceeds go back 100% to helping our local Latino community. Click here to donate through our fiscal agent the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation (please designate the Conexiones Latinas Fund).
A community contact is a person or organization that is interested in Conexiones Latinas and the Latino community, but cannot attend regular meetings or participate on a regular basis. As a community contact we will add you to our email list and send you regular updates about the community via our newsletter. This type of membership is free and open to the public and does not have any voting rights, but can changed at any time by informing the organization.
To get involved and become a community contact fill out the form found below or send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to join our email list and/or "Like" us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter. If you have any news or questions you can always email us or call us at 309-948-6205.
A Conexiones Latinas Member is a yearly membership available to individuals or organizations (that appoints a representative) which actively assists Conexiones Latinas through committee work, events, or financial support. This type of membership is considered active upon completion of the membership application with a paid status ($10 individuals/$50 organizations) or committed active status (5 individual volunteer hours/25 organization volunteer hours). Members can volunteer through various committees and events throughout the year. To join, click here and fill out this application and email it to email@example.com.
The Executive Board is made up of a Chairperson, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and Past Chair.
The Executive Board meets monthly as a Board (which includes at-large Board Members and is open to the public). The Executive Board is responsible for the overall policy and direction of Conexiones Latinas and its members. The Officers are all volunteers (do not receive compensation) and elected in December for two year terms.
