Come have a great happy hour party with Music (Frontera, popular local Latin band), Margaritas, and Mexican tamales and contribute to The Immigration Project. They are a nonprofit organization that offers free legal services to immigrants in the areas of citizenship, domestic violence, and family reunification. These immigrants generally have no other recourse for these important services!

Come out and support Radio Latina 88.1FM (IWU’s Spanish-language radio program) this Saturday, October 2 as they host Salsa Night 7-11pm (dance lessons from 7-8pm) at Young Main Lounge in the Memorial Center at Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL). $5 for adults and $3 students – proceeds will benefit Radio Latina Bloomington-Normal’s Latin music program. Javier Mendez Benefit

On Sunday, August 1, 2010 the Toluca community will be holding a benefit fundraiser for Javier Mendez at 2 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at St. Ann Hall (North Chestnut Street, Toluca, IL).
