The Immigration Project‘s monthly Citizenship Information Meeting (CIM) will be held Saturday, December 3rd, 2011, at the home office in Bloomington.
There is NO obligation, and our citizenship services, backed by immigration attorneys, are at no charge to the applicant, thanks to grants we receive from the New Americans Initiative (Illinois Department of Human Services). The only cost to the applicant is $10.00 to cover postage costs.
Those interested will learn what is required to apply, including ongoing legal obligations required of Legal Permanent Residents, how long the process takes, what exemptions are available, including the Fee Waiver.
No need to call for an appointment – just come!
The next CIM will be Saturday, January 14th, 2:00 – 3:15.

When a Permanent Legal Resident files for citizenship, the filing fee is $680.00. Our services to screen you, fill out the application, and follow you through the whole process, with attorney supervision, is always free of charge.
IF YOU CAN SHOW ECONOMIC ELIGIBILITY, YOU MAY FILE FOR FREE – without paying the $680.00!
We would like to see how many in the Central Illinois area could apply for citizenship with this fee waiver, and so we are holding our second informational meeting this Saturday, June 18th, at 2:00 in our home office in Bloomington.
There is no need to bring anything, or to register. Just walk in!

The Immigration Project is a not-for-profit legal immigration services agency who participates in the New Americans Initiative program of Illinois. Because we receive funds from the State to help people apply for citizenship, there is no charge to the client for our services. (They only have the filing fee.)
If you hold a valid green card and are ready to apply for citizenship, please come to our Citizenship Information Meeting at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday May 21st at our home office (510 E Washington St, Suite 318, Bloomington). We will explain our services, the process, and give you a list of documents to gather in preparation.
You do not need to register or make an appointment and anyone can come who is a green card holder. You don’t need to bring anything. This is NOT a meeting for those who want Permanent Residency; rather it is a meeting for those who already ARE Permanent Residents.
The meeting should last one hour and will be conducted in English and Spanish.

Would you help The Immigration Project with a financial contribution?
Any amount will be of great value… The program really needs YOUR help.
Reduced state contracts and less individual donations are hurting the program and less immigrants needing help are receiving it.
Would you consider sending a check of any amount directly to:
