The rally is scheduled for April 29, 2011 at noon at the McLean Museum of History. The rally will last about 30 minutes. We are simply standing, there will not be any prepared speeches. YWCA McLean County cordially invites your organization to join with us to take a Stand Against Racism in our community!
On Friday, April 29, 2011, YWCA McLean County, along with over 70 YWCAs throughout the country, will be working closely with approximately 2,500 organizations that will cumulatively attract about 300,000 individuals. We hope you will be one of them!
The goal of the event is simple: we want to raise awareness that racism still exists in our community and that it can no longer be ignored or tolerated. Our strength is in numbers!
